The helicopter that will carry you is an American made Robinson R44 Raven, one of the most reliable in its category.
The passengers will receive special ear-protectors that almost completely eliminate the helicopter’s noise, so you can admire the view, sitting comfortably in the leather seats, even listening to music. You can talk to each other or the pilot without difficulty.
The flight will include the following major sights:
Palace of Arts, National Theatre, Hotel Gellért, Gellért Mountain, Citadel, Statue of Liberty, Buda Castle, Mathias Church, Fisherman’s Bastion, Chain Bridge, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Parliament and Margit-island.
The duration of the helicopter flight (net flight time) is 20 minutes.
The indicated price is the helicopter rental fee. This way, one, two or three people can enjoy the ride for the indicated price. The price does not change.
Take-off time does not change in the first hour after sunset. If you would like to begin the flight at a later hour, the airport needs to be paid an excess fee. This fee is HUF 9000 / hour.
So if the sun sets at 16:30, the price does not change until 17:30 – of course 17:30 is the time of arrival, not departure.
If you would like to take off at 20:00 and sunset is, for example, at 17:19, the fee for 2 hours has to be paid.
Of course, the hour of sunset changes from day to day, as it gets darker later and later. So the feeless departure times get pushed later and later.
